Dr. Sike Xia

Dr. Sike Xia has a unique background, both in academics and industry, His research includes nano-crystalline materials and powder metallurgical processing of permanent magnets and high temperature superconductors. In addition, he has extensive experience in failure analysis, nondestructive inspection, mechanical testing and metallography and broad knowledge in the structures and properties of various types of metals and alloys.
He has strong skills in materials analysis techniques including X-ray diffraction, SEM, TEM, DTA, DSC, hardness testing and mechanical testing using Instron, Charpy and fatigue facilities.
A doctoral graduate of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Dr. Xia has also worked and studied in Brazil. During his technical career, he has been awarded two patents, has published a significant amount of technical papers in the metallurgy area, and has contributed a Materials Processing chapter to a Materials Science academic book.
