Dr. Subodh K. Das, the President of Secat,
Inc., is also the Director of the Center for Aluminum Technology at
the University of Kentucky
and an adjunct faculty member in the University of Kentucky Mechanical Engineering
Department.
. Dr. Das received his PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of
Michigan in 1974 and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1982.
He has many years of experience in academia and the private sector,
and is a registered professional engineer in Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
Prior to assuming his current position as President of Secat, Inc., Dr. Das was the Vice President of Research and Development for ARCO Aluminum, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky.
In 2002, Dr. Das was elected as a Fellow of the American Society Of Metals, International. He is also the recipient of the 2000 Aluminum Distinguished Service Award from the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society.
Dr. Das serves on the Board of Directors for Secat, Inc., the TMS (The Minerals,Metals and Materials Society), is a member of the Kentucky Energy Policy Advisory Board, and Lexington United, a non-profit, professional organization which helps companies learn more about the business climate in the Lexington, Kentucky area.
