Chirayu Garud, a Materials Engineer at Secat, Inc., has a Master's Degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, concentrating in materials testing, physical metallurgy of metals and heat treatment. Prior to joining Secat, he held a Research Assistant position at the IIT Thermal Processing Center, working on a number of sheet metal forming projects, including solving problems for automotive applications, developing new heat treating and quality control procedures, development of software to analyze the forming process.
Chirayu's technical specialties include metallography, material
characterization, failure analysis of materials, and corrosion
testing. He is also involved in maintaining ISO 17025:2005 quality
management system for Secat Inc.
