Matt Powell has more than 12 years experience in aluminum manufacturing, including 5+ years of Plant Operations Management. He began his aluminum manufacturing career with Ormet Aluminum in Hannibal, Ohio. Matt has held a variety of technical and operational positions before being named Reduction Operations Manager in 2001. In 2003, Matt accepted the Reduction Manager position with Century Aluminum in Hawesville, Kentucky. In 2004, he was promoted to Reduction and Carbon Area Manager, and in 2005 was promoted to Manufacturing Manager. Matt was most recently promoted to Plant Manager in 2006.
