03/15/2006

Secat has been contracted by The McConnell Technology & Training Center (MTTC) to provide technical and analytical services for a Department of Defense project on behalf of the Department of the Navy to evaluate aluminum alloys with the goal of providing a superior combination of service performance and economics.

The initial phase of this program is to develop a sustainable aluminum alloy and applicable manufacturing processes for naval structural applications. Secat was chosen for this role in the MTTC Fleet Maintenance Program because of its reputation as a high-level research laboratory with an application focus in all phases of aluminum materials composition and manufacturing processes.

The McConnell Technology & Training Center (MTTC) provides technology consulting and training for individuals and businesses, and innovative technology solutions for the U.S. Navy. For more information about MTTC, call 502-638-4400 or visit www.mttc.org.
