University of Missouri - Rolla and Secat Agree To
Technical Collaboration

10, 2003 - University of Missouri-Rolla and
Secat, Inc. have entered into a mutually beneficial
collaboration related to the field of material
science and technology.
University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR) has established
the Center for Friction Stir Processing and
specializes in various areas of materials science,
including extractive metallurgy, refractory
research, and physical metallurgy. Secat, through
it’s relationships within the Aluminum
industry, provides consultation, testing and
development work for Aluminum processes and
products.

and research expertise in the area of friction
stir processing will bring additional resources
and knowledge to the table for the Aluminum

will accelerate and enhance our ability to solve
process problems within the Aluminum industry,
