| Partnership Activities |
Secat has signed an exclusive marketing agreement with Earthtek, International for a technique called Gas O Max which increases the heat transfer within the furnace. The equipment had been installed for a homogenization furnace at Ohio Valley Aluminum and resulted in net savings in terms of BTU/lb of around 10%. The system creates a low energy electromagnetic standing field and the ionization effect created by the field disperses charged molecules that help to increase the heat transfer rate.
For more information, contact Shridas Ningileri at Secat.

| Art, Aluminum and the University of Kentucky |

Although most people tend to think of consumer and industrial uses when they think of Aluminum, Secat and the University of Kentucky are joining together to use Aluminum in a way that will enhance the visual environment on campus. Dr. Garry Bibbs, Professor of Art, has been commissioned by the Secat Board of Directors to create a large exterior sculpture which will be located on the UK Campus, in the Engineering College complex.
